Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging BE-TECH for any service — including fire alarm design, installation, commissioning, or emergency lighting — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with an engagement.
2. Services Provided
BE-TECH provides fire alarm and emergency lighting engineering services including design, supply, installation, commissioning, servicing, and 24/7 emergency call-out. The specific scope of each engagement is defined in a written quote or service agreement provided prior to commencement.
3. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are exclusive of VAT at the applicable rate. Any variations to the agreed scope of work may result in additional charges, which will be communicated and agreed before proceeding.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at a rate of 2% per month. Ownership of materials supplied remains with BE-TECH until payment is received in full.
5. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for ensuring safe and unobstructed access to the premises at the agreed time. Any delays caused by the client may result in additional call-out or standby charges. The client must inform BE-TECH of any hazards or restrictions on site prior to commencement.
6. Warranties & Liability
BE-TECH warrants all installation work for 12 months from the date of completion against defects in workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or failure to follow maintenance schedules. Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed.
7. Compliance
All work is carried out in accordance with Irish Standards (IS 3218, IS 3217) and relevant EN 54 standards. The client is responsible for ensuring the premises complies with fire safety legislation and for engaging a competent fire safety consultant where required.
8. Cancellation
Cancellation of a confirmed booking with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted value. Emergency call-outs that are cancelled after an engineer has been dispatched will be charged at the standard call-out rate.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
